LASM's pilot reopening program in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium on Saturday, May 30 from 10 AM - 12 PM and 2 PM - 4 PM (with cleaning in between programs) is intended to serve you safely and effectively. It will help inform our future reopening decisions and was designed with your feedback in mind. Though we've continued to provide at-home art and science experiences online at virtual-lasm.org during our temporary closure, we can't wait to finally see you again in person!

LIVE SKY TONIGHT - 2 PM - 2:30 PM
Travel from downtown Baton Rouge to the cosmos to explore the local nighttime sky during this LIVE, interactive, presenter-led program in the Irene W. Pennington Planetarium!
EARTH, MOON, & SUN - 2:30 PM - 3 PM
This planetarium show explores the relationship between Earth, Moon, and Sun with the help of Coyote, an amusing character adapted from Native American oral traditions.
AMERICA'S MUSICAL JOURNEY - 3 PM - 4 PM
Narrated by Morgan Freeman, America's Musical Journey takes you on a cross-country adventure through the musical heritage of America and the cultural cities where America's music was born.
